You hope the weather will be good in August and indeed it was, the sun was shining and the forecast was good.

Gear as always was checked the night before so it was a simple task to load the car and head over to Hanna’s mums house to capture some images of the bridal preparations.

Spirits where high as Hannah, her mum and bridesmaids had makeup applied and hair styled. Young Dylan couldn’t resist so jumped up in the chair for a quick makeup check.

After waiting and capturing a few candid shots of Hannah getting Dylan dressed, yes even brides still have to be mum on the big day, I jumped in the car and headed over to the wedding venue.

Otham church is a beautiful little church that sits between Otham and Downsview. I attended the rehearsal a few days before the wedding to have a chat with the vicar and work out where I would be able to stand to capture images of the ceremony.

I arrived at the church in plenty of time to meet up with a rather nervous Larry who was outside in the sunshine welcoming friends and family who were arriving to witness the ceremony. I took advantage of the glorious day to capture a few candid shots of friends and family as well as the groom.

Hannah arrived with her bridesmaids in a beautiful white stretch limo having enjoyed a glass or 2 of bubbly on route. With final adjustments made to her beautiful dress and a few pictures taken Hannah nervously made her way down the aisle to a waiting Larry who appeared a lot more relaxed once the vicar started making the congregation laugh with a few jokes.

With pictures captured throughout the service, the first kiss and the signing of the register all done everyone headed out into the church yard for a few group shots before making their way to the reception being held at the Orchard Suite in Bearsted.

Larry and Hannah wanted a less formal approach to the photography but had asked that a few group shots be taken. One of the shots they were keen for me to capture was the traditional confetti shot. I spent some time chatting to guests and capturing some lovely natural candid shots as well as a few shots of the bride and groom before everyone was called through to the wedding breakfast.

Speeches followed the 3 course meal then everyone went back outside to spend an hour relaxing in the early evening sun. I took the opportunity to whisk Larry and Hannah away for a few minutes to capture a few pictures of the happy couple together as Mr and Mrs Bailey.

As the sun set and evening guests started to arrive a spent some more time chatting and capturing pictures of people as they both relaxed and posed for family pictures.

With the day nearly over I only had two moments left to capture, cutting the stunning cake, created by Corinne`s cake creations and the first dance.
